Reptile Zoo

My son just had a birthday so we decided to check out the “famous” Reptile Zoo (it’s in quotations because both my mother in law and brother in law’s fiancée had heard of it). When we arrived, we were surprised that the exterior looked like a pet shop. It didn’t look like a zoo…we walked in and immediately were greeted by adults and kids using tongs feeding turtles. We were pleasantly surprised it’s free to feed the turtles so we grabbed a cup to start. My son was a bit shy so we tried to feed with him and actually good thing because the turtles were aggressive! They were climbing on each other and snapping up everything.

After we checked out the gift shop and then got tickets to enter the “zoo”. One note, it is quite warm in there. It makes sense due to the reptiles, but man, I wish I brought a handheld fan or something. We wandered up and down and saw alligators, snakes and more. My kids had so much fun looking through the glass at them all! The zoo itself isn’t huge and we finished in about an hour granted we probably could have stayed longer if my kids wanted to feed the turtles more as inside there were more stations to feed them.

Overall it was a fun and relatively inexpensive family fun place to visit!
