As many of you know, I’ve been in the babywearing and baby product manufacturing space for over a decade and have tried on countless carriers and strollers as a certified specialist as well as in the different stages of motherhood. Now I’m in my SAHM era and it’s been busy!!! How did I use to work full time and take care of the kids AND have time to workout…or sleep?! I guess it’s different because now we have two so it’s 1 on 1 which can be hard…but also this age is so fun! Baby girl is almost a year (how the time is flying!!!) and baby boy is a little over 2 and we’re no longer 2 under 2 😝 They are starting to play together and it’s getting a bit easier to get out of the house. I’m still usually 15 minutes late anywhere because someone needs a diaper change, I forgot my purse or the diaper bag or just something happens, but we make it out the door and that’s all that matters ☺️

I recently got the Momcozy 2-in-1 Baby Carrier and PureHug Carrier and both have been great for helping me get out the door quicker! As you all know, I am a baby carrier hoarder and even with my vast collection, I’ve yet to find the best carrier + hip seat option UNTIL NOW! Baby girl is always wiggling and shimmying so the traditional baby carrier isn’t best for her as she’s always wanting to go up and down and in and out so this 2 in 1 Baby Carrier hip seat part is perfect since she can easily go up and down and in and out easily without the hassle of clipping and unclipping the carrier. It has a padded seat which allows for a guided M shape sitting which is good for her hips and the thick strap around the waist allows for baby girl and myself to feel comfortable and fully supported ergonomically. The carrier part is great because it tucks away easily in the hip seat portion so if I start the day with baby girl in the carrier and then she wants to be on just the hip seat, I can unzip and tuck it in quickly – great for travel! The ample pockets also allow for me to carry my essentials: phone, diaper, wipes and my wallet. And best yet is this one fits my hubby! He’s a slender man and other hip seats even on the skinniest setting is too loose on him (I do not have this issue 🙈) so it is nice that he feels like Momcozy is secure on him too so he can wear our kids easily ☺️ This is a great carrier for the parent on the go or who wants to just bring one item with them as it acts as a carrier, hip seat and mini diaper bag for active parents and especially active kids!

I also tried the MomCozy Purehug Baby Carrier and as silly as this sounds, it felt like a hug with baby girl so I definitely understand where the name comes from 🙂 It has similar attributes to the Embrace carrier that I lived in with my first, but has more support since the material is thicker than the Embrace’s wrap fabric, yet still lightweight mesh fabric. My daughter never liked to be strapped in so we had a lot less carrier time this time around, but it’s nearly impossible to get around without a carrier with two babies so I was desperate. And tada, the PureHug worked for us as baby girl was snuggled close, but the soft mesh fabric was breathable and allowed her (and myself) to not feel confined. The fabric is lightweight and was again very easy for me to bring around on the daily as well as to travel with since it doesn’t add extra weight to my luggage/diaper bag. I do wish there was more lumbar support as my back has never been the same since pregnancy and labor and I have a feeling that once baby girl gets heavier, it could be a bit of a pull on my shoulders over time. However, the padded straps that allow for crisscross strapping don’t add bulk, the supportive thick waist band and simple design (less buckles and pulls) works well for this current season of newborn life. Since she wiggles so much, I have less time to actually tighten and clip in things so having an easy 3 clip process helps a lot – snap in the waistband clip and one on each side, tada, the Purehug allows for baby girl to be in a carrier and for this mama to be hands free so we can have a successful Target visit or grocery trip without any tears from me or her 😉 I also love that the carrier can grow with my baby as it has easy buttons on the interior of the waistband that allows for ease of making the seat portion smaller or bigger as my baby grows to emphasize the importance of the ergonomic “M” position for healthy hip and spine development as well as padded leg openings for good circulation and comfort. This is definitely the ideal carrier for parents who want a lightweight, ergonomic and cozy carrier.

If you’re in the local LA area, MomCozy also has monthly educational events at BabyList (and sometimes partnered with Tot Squad 😉) so be sure to go check out the products I’ve been using and go check out the event as knowledge is power, so let’s all learn together xo
