teamLab Borderless – Tokyo

We just did our first trip with baby boy and we decided to go big! So we did an international trip to Japan and we live to tell the tale 😝 I’m very behind on blog posts as I’ve done multiple half written ones about post partum etc so they will be coming out all out of order…but hey, doing anything and surviving first year of having a kid – that’s my win ☺️

First post for Japan will be about teamLab borderless in Tokyo! My husband is a rockstar vacation planner and was on it for booking tickets for this since it’s a hot commodity. We arrived early because it’s in the now tallest building in Tokyo and we wanted to explore. This building is no joke! So many floors and smaller buildings all connected. We got lost a few times trying to find somewhere to eat lunch. We got pasta at a cafe and a little nibble at Starbucks. Both delish!

Then off to teamLab we went! When we entered, my husband and I realize we’d been to a teamLab exhibition before in SF. There were some similar showings hence we finally put two and two together. It was really fun to go from room to room and it felt like a maze. We didn’t know where one room started or ended. There were two rooms that had special optical illusions that made me a bit claustrophobic and dizzy…but overall fun!

Overall this was a great family experience because there was a little something for everyone and of course, great photo op xo
